Surroundings of the house

This house with a large swimming pool is located in the tourist resort of Costa Adeje, in a residential area which is highly valued by the people who live there. Although it is only a 15 minute walk to the nearest beach (Puerto Colon) and the facilities, it is different to all the large residential complexes. There is no noise from Cafes or disco's, and the neighbours keep to themselves. A five minute walk gets you to the shopping centre of S. Eugenio where you can find a big supermarket, boutiques, perfumeries, a news stand with a wide selection of international newspapers, a shop where you can rent DVDs, banks, chemist’s, surgeries, and a taxi rank.Very close there is also a private clinic .The sand-beaches are safe with sufficient facilities, and they are all linked through a promenade about 12 km long. Nearby there is also a water park provided with a dolphinarium which is very popular with children and even grown-ups (www.aqualand.es) There are two recomendable restaurants at walking distance from Villa Alegria: El Molino Blanco(Spanish and international cuisine, within 100 meters) and Pinocchio ( an Italian restaurant which serves delicious pizzas and equipped with a childrens play area). From Puerto Colòn (15 minute walk) there are day trips on various charters (usually catamarans), to discover the coast and above all the colonies of whales and dolphins which live in that particular strip of sea all year round. A short car-ride will take you to a beautiful gym with a Spa (www.aquaclubtermal.com), with tennis courts, paddling and squash facilities. From the port of Los Cristianos you can also take ferryboats to discover the other wonderful islands of the archipelago: Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro. Travelling away from the sea, a twenty minute drive leads you to cooling and peaceful pine woods.
