Entertainment
The South of Tenerife has more entertainment than you can wish for: An endless number of bars with different music, where you can spend your nights sip ping cocktails by the seaside. During the summer younger people are on holiday, either from abroad or from the island, making this time of year more entertaining. A very fashionable area amongst young people is S. Telmo in Los Cristianos where there are lots of small cafés on the seafront worth going to, and in some of which you can also dance. We recommend “Agua de Coco” where Brazilian staff makes very good caipirina cocktails. There are also multi-screen cinemas in 'Zentral Center'. You must absolutely go to the show which is put on at the Arona Conference Palace all year round (Carmen Mota Show) – a cast of dancers and singers will offer you a typically Spanish show. In this area you will also find a minigolf course (Parque Santiago 5) and a free show every evening with music and lights near the fountains of the Safari centre. For a romantic evening we recommend Chiringuito de La Caleta, a cafè on a small beach with beach umbrellas and deckchairs during the day and live music or themed evenings by candlelight at night. Even spending a day on a catamaran or on a big boat to discover the adjoining coast and the colonies of whales and dolphins is extremely thrilling (departures every day from Puerto Colòn). Those who enjoy relaxing by taking care of their bodies and appreciating luxury and wellbeing can spend a day at the Spa. A fixed entry price allows you to use the facilities such as the swimming pool and sauna. All additional treatments such as massages etc. are payed for seperately. Some Spas only use ocean water (thalassotherapy) which is heated to fully exploit its properties. (www.vitanovatenerife.com).
